Is Your Fundraising Career Like a Hamster Wheel? Jump off Now and Start Making Progress

You don’t need me to tell you: Fundraising is hard work.

It’s also repetitive. An annual cycle that repeats and repeats and repeats.

Sometimes it can make you wonder if you’re really making any progress.

Don’t get me wrong – it’s glorious work, spending your time and talents to help make the world a better place. But most of us need a sense of progress to satisfy our need for maximizing our impact. And grinding out the work year after year can really take its toll.

And … here’s the hard part … if you really are repetitively grinding out the work year after year, you are not maximizing your “return on life” investment. I hate to say it, but it’s true.

But I have some good news.

No, some great news.

There’s a strategic framework that aligns all your hard work and virtually guarantees that your organization will make meaningful progress…

Short term – as in right now.

Middle term – as in this year and next.

And long term – as in the next five to ten years and beyond.

At Moceanic, we call this strategic framework the Donor Success Path.

Anyone can do it. You can do it.

But most fundraisers don’t do it! They just keep grinding out the work, campaign after campaign, meeting after meeting, budget cycle after budget cycle. It’s how you eventually burn out. It might be one of the reasons so many people leave the fundraising profession. Who wants their career to be a big, tiresome hamster wheel?

In one sentence, here’s how the Donor Success Path works:

It’s all about creating an upward journey for EVERY donor.

I’m not going to claim the Donor Success Path is easy. You still have to work hard, be smart, keep your eyes open, and learn, learn, learn.

But the Donor Success Path is not one bit more difficult than the old hamster wheel method of fundraising. The difference is this: One of them gives you progress. The other doesn’t.

I think you know which is which.

If you’re interested, let me recommend a free resource that will get you started: The Moceanic e-book titled The Ultimate Donor Success Path Starter Guide: Transform Your Fundraising from a Merry-Go-Round to a Journey.

It’s a surprisingly short book that will get you started.

You’ll see right away how compellingly simple the Donor Success Path is. You are probably already doing parts of it like a master.

You might think, from the way I’m talking about it, that the Donor Success Path requires you to buy some kind of proprietary service to get it for your organization.

Nope.

It’s just straightforward information. Mainly knowledge you already have – but haven’t yet brought together in a working strategy that pulls all your work together.

So download the e-book.

See for yourself how the Donor Success Path can transform your fundraising program.

And your career.

It’s free. You don’t have to buy anything. You can decide for yourself how to use it. I hope it helps you!

Download your FREE copy of The Ultimate Donor Success Path Starter Guide: Transform Your Fundraising from a Merry-Go-Round to a Journey. It costs you nothing. Takes literally a few minutes to read. And it can change everything for you, making your work into the powerful march of progress that your organization is looking for!
